Jam Judge

There was a bit of a disparity between the king's gameplay and the queen's gameplay, but that only means there's lots of room to add things as difficulty ramps up! It was really fun to see how you integrated the theme and turned it into a unique gameplay experience, giving both characters a completely different playstyle. I could see this lending itself to multiplayer really easily, and that's always fun to consider, but it loses nothing by being single player.

The interactivity between the top and bottom of the screen was ingenious, and I had loads of fun figuring out the puzzles. I would advise making the queen's tiles a more contrasting color from the background, because I missed them and thought they were a tutorial graph for a second in the beginning.

Very smooth gameplay otherwise, it was very fun to play!

The contrasting colors didnt even cross my mind so that is GENIUS! And yes I have difficulty with either making things too hard or too easy so I have to figure out how to ramp up difficulty in a better way with more variety.

Thanks for all the feedback! For my second jam I am glad I was able to put out something like this!

This was a super fun concept and the gameplay was executed really well! I loved the combination of platforming mechanics with thinking deeply about puzzles. I think the puzzles were well-designed as well and posed a fair challenge. I agree that a dedicated restart button or keybind would be really nice to have, and maybe make it more clear that you can place the instructions before going (I also started out trying to drag them to her as she was moving). Overall, fantastic job!

Thanks for the feedback! Honestly I really wanted to do more but I got burnt out by this project and was just happy to submit! Hope you enjoyed it! (I also hope the ghost wasnt too bad)

First of all great game. Really creative idea and very charming. Love the music, the artstyle, the story and of course the mechanics. Two things I would consider: adding a restart button, so that you can just instantly restart a level and as mentioned in another comment, let the previously placed buttons stay on restart . Sometimes I struggled with a later part of the level and it was hard to remember the exact placements of the first instructions.

Ohh and it took me a while to figure out, that you can place the instructions before moving the queen.

Nice work! Really enjoyed it!

Thanks for the feedback! In the in game instructions I did forget to include that the ESC key pops up a restart screen. And yeah I do agree with keeping the instructions in place for repeat tries that's a great idea!

The lights are amazing. Will need to try them out too :D The concept of placing orders on the map is pretty interesting

This was my first time trying to add lighting so I am glad it came out good!

Played it again, solving the puzzles is fun! It would be nicer if the orders stayed where you put them when you restart tho
