Fun game with nice graphics and theme, just watch out for those Holly bushes.
Thank you for trying it out. I am glad to hear you thought it was fun and appreciate the comment on the graphics and theme. Those holly bushes can really get you. :)
Loved the theme and loved beating up on that snowman at the end! The graphics are quite nice and unique as well. Great job!
Thank you for trying it out and for the kind words! I am happy to hear that you enjoyed it and were able to take down the snowman.
My wife asked if there are any other Christmas themed NES games and I couldn't think of any. Interesting premise and I liked the theme to this. I did run out of gumdrops but was playing with save states so managed to backtrack.
Thanks for giving the game a try! I am glad to hear that you like the theme. Much like your wife, I too had wondered if there were any other Christmas themed NES games. I did some research and could not really find any, so decided to see if I could make one myself.
The enemies should drop gumdrops often enough to replenish your supply. Did you find the staff?
I must have missed it somehow! I'll try again.
Read all of the wood signs. 😉
Enjoying this one, I like how the tvs explain the story. Not sure what I did but I was in the store to the left and somehow reset the game. Going to try this one again, I didn't get to explore it all yet. Great art too!
Thank you for giving the game a try! I am happy to hear that you are enjoying it and appreciate the compliment on the art.
In the beginning when I decided that there would not really be any NPC's around to talk too, I tried to think how I could still tell a story. That is where the idea for the TV's and the signs came from. With them I could tell the story and have the main character react with what he is thinking.
That is interesting that the game reset on you at the point you were at. I do apologize for that. I looked back at the setup and am honestly not certain what would have caused that to happen. The only reset functionality in the game should be when you are on the win screen and press start,
yeah, probably just an nes game being an nes game. It's a lot of fun!
Thank you.
