the art and models are really nice, felt really unfinshed tho, like the controls and that debug windows thing. But keep the work going im sure you can make something very nice (and finished :D) with your next tries :D

Thanks a bunch! I've definitely learned alot about how to use this engine effectively, my next game is gonna be a blast, stay tuned!

Very cute models and art!

Maan that debug window though. It kept popping up every 2 seconds when it really mattered.

I have to be honest. Even though I beat the game no problem, I really do not like this movement system where you can turn and scoot at the same time. I can buffer a direction to turn to by mashing but I can’t just hold one direction to keep moving in that direction. I feel like it would have been better without the ability to buffer a turn at all. (And possibly less buggy)

I feel like I kinda did things out of order? The move 2 tiles item did not work pretty much at all. It ended up being a “open up the debug menu” button. But everything it was supposed(?) to do was possible with the ranged attack anyway. I sniped the big enemies across gaps.

In the room southeast of the first area, the pushable statue things would not move at all initially, instead they would pop the debug window out. And the northwest one didn’t even have a hitbox? But the water level didn’t change until I left the area and came back.

For most enemies and the boss (and even some levers) I just spammed projectiles from a distance. It was also possible to move into the same tile as an enemy and press space to hit them instead of using a sword.

The item system was also more cumbersome than it needed to be in my opinion. The stat upgrade items should not need to be equipped then used, they should just upgrade your stats when they drop I think. Same for the sword upgrade, it should just replace your sword instead.

I think this game is very very solid. Good visuals and sound. However it seems to be just drowning in bugs right now.

Oh dear, I'm sorry you had so much trouble! Your run seems especially cursed, I didn't have nearly as much trouble in my tests, oh my goodness. Mayhaps your save was corrupted hmmm

Either way, thank you for your feedback! Yeah at this point I'm definitely getting rid of the turning mechanic. The game was supposed to be much more intense and strategic so being able to turn in place was going to be more important, but it didn't really end up that way haha.

Your issues with the stones are especially bizarre to me! You've definitely given me alot to go over after the voting period ends, thank you so much! Maybe you can try again too when I fix everything to see how its improved :> I'm definitely going to make the Final Boss a bit harder too! (also the stat upgrades are usable items because they also work as Full Heals)

Hi guys, unfortunately there seems to be a rather annoying bug where the debug console pops up and can interrupt the game, resulting in undeserved deaths. If that happens, all you gotta do is hit ESCAPE really quick. Sorry!

Really cool and interesting game design and visuals. I really struggled with the controls my brain wasnt liking the movement. It reminded me of some old Mobile games I played back when. I think point and click movement may be best for Isometric games likes this.

Oh I'm sorry, yeah it's a little unconventional. RPG in a Box still has some weird quirks so the tap - walk function was unavoidable. There's an option for point and click mechanics but I wanted it to feel more like Zelda yknow? Thank you for playing though, I'm glad you enjoy my art! Did you manage to beat it? I'm really proud of the boss fight hehehe

Loved the art and the music! I got stuck in the right room (I thought using the Zephyr to cross the gap was the intended way but it didn't work :c), but I still enjoyed it a lot!

Developer

Oh dear! Here's a hint, you can still push statues into the river and you can hit the switch off to the side with items. Thank you for playing!!

Cute art! was not able to see my kami oshi but the journey was fun (bro kept dying lol)

Developer(+1)

Thanks, and I believe in you!! Tip: With the Creepy Flute you can warp through enemies, and the Magic Sword can keep strong enemies from reaching you!

This game is super adorable! I love the cute characters and the fun intros and messages. Thank you for your entry, you did a good job! :D
Bubi is such a slave driver LOL! But nothing will stop me from escaping >:)) Playing through the game was tough, and I died a lot. But I enjoyed the little puzzles like flooding the room, and the combat system was  unique. I enjoyed the challenge, Great job!

Thank you so much!! I'm very proud of what I was able to get done on a crunch, for a while I debated having only one level or no boss battle, but I'm glad I pushed through and delivered something people really enjoy :3
