Use of the limitation
Every time death occurs, the player moves closer and closer to the final goal. It's to send the message that even when you feel overwhelmed, just keep going, it's all worth it in the end.

This seems like a cool exercise in philosophy.

I will say that had I not read the use of limitation I would of thought that the game was broken somehow. Too counteract this I would of printed some kind of message to the screen on death to encourage the player to keep on going and I would of written a few to keep it varied to tell the player that this was meant to happen while driving through the point of the game.

I think there were some collision issues as I started to get up the hill I kept spawning inside the hill in some kind of underwater hell of stretched sand columns XD

Thank you for the feedback, it's greatly appreciated! Since this was my first ever published game, there are a lot of things I've learned during the process and since. That message idea is fantastic and I'll absolutely implement that if I decide to continue working on the game.

That collision issue is interesting, I hadn't had that in testing the uploaded build, but I definitely had it while I was building and implementing the idea. I've had someone report that they had the "death" screen just permanently on screen which is a weird problem that I encountered once. Seems like something in the blueprints can sometimes get funky.

Hi there!

I've played it, got to the gold nugget, but nothing really seemed to happen. I tried walking back into the sea to trigger the end state you hinted at but it just gave me another retry.

As far as the content is concerned, the retries are a bit too frequent in my opinion, combined with starting at the surface and slowly sinking down, to then slowly make a little bit of progress before it repeats, makes it feel a bit slow and tedious.

Nevertheless, I am intrigued as to what the end scenario would look like, feel free to give us a hint as to how to achieve it.

Developer

Sorry, it wasn't made clear in the game or in the description. I hadn't thought about adding the "controls" to the page. Try pressing 'E' when you're standing at the gold nugget.
