When I first read the word "compound" for this challenge, I thought of "union" and "networks." I decided to set my game in a self-storage facility because of this. I thought of them as compounds because they are made up of many parts. They may look the same on the outside, but they are all different on the inside. I also thought it would be a visually interesting way to show the prompt. Besides taking place in this setting, the game lets players learn about the lives of the people who rented the storage units by looking at the objects they find inside. Right now there are only three units available to explore, but I thought of each of them as a universe on its own. This is because they contain items that tell us about the people behind the objects. I thought of them as small "compounds" of their lives.

I like the sprites from someone who has used pico8 for a long time I think you executed them pretty well. I kinda wish there was a bit more to it but I like the little experience of it. Enjoyable little game, would definitely suggest looking into picotron in the future if you want to make some more complex games, only learned of it recently but it's basically just pico8 without as limiting of memory!
Really cute graphics! I think it would be great if there were more mini storages to discover, or even see how each rented storage changes as time passes.
Thank you so much for playing and providing feedback. My goal for the future is to improve the gameplay and add more lore so players can explore an even larger map. Your idea about units being rented over time is really interesting. I will definitely keep it in mind when I revisit the game. Again, thanks!
