How does your game relate to the theme?
We used the notion of corruption as a synonym of bribery.

You can triumph without using corruptions, of course. However, it will be harder to win as your opponent will not hesitate to use them.
Use corruption wisely because you don't know if the master will be receptive or not, and spamming them will most likely result in failure, but the gain is huge if successful.

I just noticed the longest comment about the card rules, so I'm not gonna talk about that. What I'll say is this- CUTEST GRAPHICS IN THE JAM!

Okay, I love card games, and I love cute games, so I was not disappointed when I saw this entry :D

Let's talk about the latter first: the graphics are very nice. I love the flat colour palette, and the pixel art is well done, too! Kudos to the artists!

Now let's talk gameplay. Like I said, I love card games and have played a lot of them. So at the end of the game, this is a card game about placing a higher card than the opponent with the interesting twist of "corrupting" the game system (the pets' owner in this case) by supplying another special card. That is certainly a unique twist on the genre! So bonus points for creativity. However, the rules are bizarre!!! The rules say:

"

Every round, you have to choose a move by selecting a card. Each card has a performance number. The one with the highest number wins and if the difference between cards is high, then you mark even more points!

If you want to increase your performance number even more, you can also pick an additional card from the corruption deck. Beware! It is not easy to corrupt your master. The higher the corruption value is, the higher the reward, but the higher the risk...

"

The first paragraph is clear: if your card is higher than the cat's, you win. The score is marked by that difference, too, which is an interesting point that I will come to in a bit.

The second one, however... It doesn't really tell the player anything about how the corruption works. My guess is that you can play corruption cards that "add" to the total score of your played hand. So if I play a "normal" 3 and a corrupted 1, the total sum would be 4. However, the bigger the corrupted number, "the higher the risk". But what does that risk mean? As a player, this game is not very strategic, because I can't properly plan my risk. If I fail, does that mean I lose automatically? If yes, that would result in the game not only being RNG based, but RNG focussed, which is a deadly sin of card games. Or does it mean that I won't receive the corrupted number as a bonus? Because that would certainly add a strategic element to the game, but only if I can't use the card after playing it again.

I really like the twist of adding "corruption" cards and I think it fits the theme well. So here are my personal suggestions, which, in my opinion, could make the game more strategic and exciting.

1. Remove the decks. Instead, both players start with n cards that, once player, are removed entirely from the game

2. Every card in the beginning has a different performance number.

3. Additionally, a corruption card can be played, which ADDS to the total sum. But there is a risk of the number times 10 in percent that the corruption fails and will not be added. So if I play a corrupted 4, there is a 40% chance of it to fail.

4. In total there should only be three or so corruption cards. So far less than the starter cards.

=> This would be a more exciting game because you now have to choose when to play your good cards and when to play the bad ones. Also you can think about "boosting" your bad cards with corruption cards for an interesting risk.

I hope that my feedback is helpful as an unbiased player! :) You can be very proud of your entry
