I really like the look of the game. I'm missing some sound effects though.
The fact that you included an actual GB-Rom is amazing.
I also got stuck though, after leaving the cell there is two ways blocked by an alarm and one blocked by a guard. Not sure how I'm supposed to get past.

Yeah, that was the one part I was really worried about. I tried to put a hint in, but I don't think it was clear enough😬 SPOILER WARNING: After getting to the right side, you need to trigger the alarm and quickly run back to the right cell.
That'll get you through that part. Sorry about that.
I noticed that the guards have a pretty long range. Sometimes they would see me before I could see them and there was nothing I could do but memorize where they are to avoid them.

That was another problem I didn't realize I had until the Jam had ended. Once it's over and I can edit my game, I might end up patching it.
Interesting game! I like the graphics and the general feel. I couldn't get very far though, it's challenging and I don't know what to do next! :D
