I did all the programming and design. My daughter did all the art for the characters.
How/Where did you put the theme in your game?(in short)
Settled on "The 7 Deadly Sins" as it seemed to be interesting. There are 7 virtues vs 7 Sins.
Did (you or your team) do the graphisms yourself?
Most of it. My daughter did all the art for the characters and some of the props. I did the FX sprites. Had to use a free tile set for the background from the Unity Asset Store. Just didn't have time to make all that because I am horrible at it. See credits at end of game.
Did (you or your team) do the musics and sounds yourself?
Unfortunately no. All audio is from freesound.org which I support. I did do all the editing and mixing. See the credits at the end of the game.
Did (you or your team) make the code during this jam's timeframe?
Yes, all of it. Mountains of it.

"Righteous BFG" lmao. What a great game, by far the best submission on this jam.
Here is a bit of critique:
1) by far the worst part about the game was the enemies shooting off-screen.
2) the BFG really lacked the impact - I'd love to see some bullets or something
3) at the start of the game when you click "I'll give it a shot" during the fade-out the button is still clickable, so one can click it again and again, causing the game to repeat the fade-out again and again. Not a bug, but a feature, I guess :)
You can take a look at "Enter the Gungeon" for inspiration and to look at how they do things.

Fun idea! I appreciated how forgiving the game was when I died many times, haha. Very nice looking environments, well done!
Thanks @chygore! The boss fight is a little OP. I know exactly what is going to happen and I still get defeated. The trick is to never stop moving and the minion in the upper left corner drops a health jar every-other spawn. Oh, there is an emergency health jar back in the chamber where you spawn in for the boss fight.
That's cool - I always appreciate little secrets like hidden health jars. I'll have to go back into it and check that out.
