  • This entry is by Jordan, the event organizer. So it is just meant for fun.
  • I liked it, although I'm not great with platformers so I couldn't get very far (I think the initial level could be made a little easier while we navigate learning the controls). I like the moving back and forth in time/space though, and the core idea. This might just be a "how my brain works" thing but I think swapping the jump/time keys would have made a huge difference for me. I kept changing time when I meant to jump and vice versa, because that's what felt "natural" for those keys (if that makes sense).
  • This game was a lot of fun! It was also certainly different to judge for this year as our only video game entry. I get where you going with the theme, with the past and the future working together, but it didn't seem to quite mesh as well as I thought it could have. I don't know if this was a design limitation or a constraint from the Game Boy programming software you used, so my judgement here may not be entirely valid. The game showed a good sample of what a full platformer for this could become. It was also challenging, I was only able to find 2 of the 3 time crystals on the level before I had to give up. I'm not entirely sure I located the 3rd one or not, but I am sure it was there somewhere! The game gave a good sense of discovery at first, but I did get frustrated dying all the time on some things. Once I knew where at least 2 of the crystals were it became just an exercise in platforming which of course meant failing the same jumps and things repeatedly sometimes, so that got a little tedious at points. This is more of a criticism on the platformer style than of this game specifically though.

Finished playing through a couple days ago. I found it very challenging but a lot of fun.
