  • Run, Boy, Run! You chose great sounds and I like the power-up.
  • Run , Boy, Run! has the bones of a good 2D side-scrolling platform game. Running, jumping, collecting gems/coins and destroying enemies in a multi-level world. I loved hearing his scurrying footsteps as he ran and the odd explosion when I killed an enemy. Background music was missing though which could have added to the atmosphere. Good job done with the stage design though some of the element I felt did not work. Now, I'm no glutton for punishment but I actually tried dying in this game and couldn't lol. A starting story would have helped as well as I instantly loved simple the character design....maybe he could be a douen trying to find his way home in the forest. Hoping the developer continues to build on what they have here and releases the game the way it's meant to be played.
  • I like the length and variety in the level. There's a good variety of things to collect and enemies to avoid. Some technical issues hold it back. I didn't know how to control the player as there is no guide in the game or the submission. The player can jump against obstacles and eventually get over, I also got stuck in-between tiles. So I think pay attention to the game physics and with some music it'll work out!

Hey! Could you please remove the donation option and make it free to play for anyone? I’ll be sure to put it in the rules next time, but all jam entries are entirely free to play. Thanks

Developer

No problem, not sure why but the donation are removed and free to play now. Any issues arise then let me know.
