Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous.

  • Clarity of Gameplay Instructions: The game lacks clarity in guiding players on what to do, when, and how. Implementing detailed and precise onboarding tutorials or instructions is crucial to help players understand the game mechanics and objectives better. Introduction to Game World: Introducing players to the game world through an introductory scene or text would provide essential context and immersion. This setup would help players grasp the setting, storyline, and their role within the game more effectively. Leveraging Core Game Loop: The core gameplay loop of mixing potions could be enhanced by incorporating a reward system. Providing players with currency for successfully brewed potions, which they can then use to purchase items or upgrades, would add depth and motivation to the gameplay experience. Consistency in Graphical Style: The use of different assets results in inconsistency in the graphical style, which can disrupt immersion and cohesion. Ensuring consistency in art style throughout the game will contribute to a more polished and cohesive visual experience. UI Improvement: It's essential to allow players to remove UI pop-ups, especially when receiving orders, to prevent obstruction of the gameplay view. Implementing options to toggle or dismiss UI elements will improve the overall user experience and accessibility. Polishing and Streamlining Design: While the core idea of potion mixing and narrative delivery through letters shows promise, the overall design needs refinement and streamlining. Clear communication of game logic, objectives, and progression is essential. Testing and Iteration: The game prototype requires extensive testing and iteration to ensure player-friendliness and clarity. Soliciting feedback from players during development and conducting playtesting sessions will help identify and address usability issues effectively.

Breaking Waza

Game Description
Step into the mystical world of the 16-17th-century alchemy, where magic and science blend together in the grand halls and shadowy corridors of Zygmunt 3 Waza's Court. In "Breaking Waza" you are tasked with the noble duty of concocting potent potions for the subjects of the realm, using your acute knowledge of herbs, metals, and arcane substances. But be wary, for not just any potion will suffice; your creations must meet or exceed the exacting standards set forth in the royal orders, lest you face the wrath of the court—and the executioner's axe.

Guide:

"Craft a potion using the magical ingredients in your room. Begin by reading the letter left for you, and make a crucial decision about whether you'll assist the individual in need. Keep in mind that refusing to help too many people may lead to them becoming upset with you.

To create the potion, ensure its stats are either equal to or superior to those outlined in the letter(if they are worse the client will be upset with you). Once you've made the potion, place it in the cauldron and let it brew while you rest in your bed. Upon waking up, retrieve the potion from the cauldron, and promptly return it to the door. Your choices and the quality of the potion will shape the unfolding story!"
