  • Super stylized, smooth feel, good vibes! Nicely done!
  • Very well done and great use of Houdini!

How did you use Houdini to make your game?
Examples of how we used Houdini: ( https://imgur.com/a/A3sgiUo )

We used Houdini for level geometry generation, game models and workflow speed ups. 90% of the project was built within, or interfaced with Houdini. The major level geometry was generated from work I did here: ( www.cuttle.xyz/@Psyfer/LevelElements-SKzxdpRtkZsJ ) Vectors created in cuttle.xyz were leveraged to build the level geometry.

Please, please svg / vector support in houdini 20!

List everything that was made before the jam. Pre-built, assets, textures, etc
We leveraged a single particle pack from the Unity asset store. We only leveraged 2 effects from it. (The reflect effect (heavily modified) and some of the floating particles.

We also used the tree generator hda provided by houdini. Everything else was built during the jam.

Which game engine or platform did you use to make your game?
We used Unity.

Besides Houdini, what other tools did you use to make your game?
We used blender, www.cuttle.xyz for vector, FL studio for audio work.

List instructions and tips for playing your game here.
Download and then navigate to CrystalSamurai.exe and run it. We included a HOUDINI folder that contains some of our HDAs and .hip files. Thank you for your time an consideration. This was an extreme labor of love, we hope you like it.

Love the style of the game, and the visuals are very nice! Things got really fun when I realized I could deflect the projectiles.
