I didn't create the game for this game jam, but I found the theme to be very relevant. I did some researches, read old books and dictionaries and made the mythological background of my game more coherent.
I wrote a text to prove it: https://caton-laubergiste.itch.io/insularum-raider/devlog/266090/why-my-game-is-mythologically-accurate

To be honest, I didn't understand the controls a bit and how to set up the language. Only the W and D keys worked for me. But it was so fun to move around, find owls and try to guess what everyone was talking about) I really liked the sounds and visuals! and funny jumps) Nice work!

I like when you say you had fun "to guess what everyone was talking about." The French keyboard is different from the English one. I will try to fix the controls, but it's hard to do everything on my own. You can't set up the language of the Latin priestesses, because one of the goals is to learn a new language! I would then like to add other playable characters who speak other languages. An English version is under negotiation and I failed to get a Russian one.

It reminded me of 90s games. it is an interesting game even though I couldn't understand the language but there is a problem with controls. I think they didn't map correctly. 'D' is for the left direction but 'Q' works for the right direction. and there is no 'up' direction or I couldn't find it. I wish I could play it.

Thank you for the trying! French keyboard (azerty) is not like English keyboard (qwerty). I have not yet made a menu to customize the keys. As another solution, you can play with the arrows and the mouse or even with a controller.
