Very cool concept, and a really good atmosphere created by the gameplay, art, and music. Really gives a good sense of desperation to your interactions. I did luck out on my second run by discovering the grappling hook and foraging fairly early on, which made ascending and keeping my hunger down a lot easier than in the first run. I did find that in my second run the atmosphere of desperation was diminished a bit, maybe because I was getting used to the cards and was now viewing the cards more as abstract numbers rather than truly representing the state of my character. I think that this could be due to it feeling like there aren't many repercussions to having your stats high so long as you don't let any of them actually hit 100. Still, I'm really excited to try the full game once it's made
Beautiful art and fun game mechanics.
Died 2 hours before the end of the last day beacause I had to make a desperate leap or get got by sand anyway, 10/10, fantastic little piece of strategic survival horror with some fun tidbits of worldbuilding
