What are you favorite microgame mechanics? I’ve come up with a list of the following types of microgames:

  • drag item somewhere
  • drag back and forth
  • rotate item
  • timing/rhythm
Host

Along with the above I also like:

  • Select the odd one out/Spot the difference
  • Click the targets
  • Avoid the object (ex. Flappy Bird style or moving left/right so an object doesn't hit a small character)
  • Board game style ones (ex. click the checker to jump over the most pieces or a chess piece to take a queen)
