CriteriaRankScore*Raw Score

Ranked from 7 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your submission match the theme?
You are an astronaut floating through space avoiding and protecting yourself from space debris using your shield and jetpack.
Your shield loses power and can only be recharged by boosting which uses up oxygen and increases your speed making the game more difficult.
Oxygen also acts as your health bar. This can be replenished by not boosting or using your shield.
The ship in the opening is used as the catalyst for the narrative but also in the mini tutorial section to help teach the mechanics in a safe environment.
The scoring system allows you to track progress whilst also making you aware of an end goal rather than just numbers.

Neat little game! I included it in my Game Maker Toolkit’s Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)
