The game looks cute both visually, musically and in the way the man gets taken away by the evil floating(?) dice!

  1. Nevertheless, some directions would have helped, especially the controls; I advise you to put them in the game page and/or in the comments here.
I am not sure either how the objects we collect on the ground operate (are they the throwable dice?).
  2. It would have been good to be given some time at the beginning, and I think it would have been great to be able to respawn / restart the game: I am forced to quit and relaunched once I have lost.
  3. I like the physics of getting taken away or pushed back.
  4. I also think the controls are great, with a keyboard-mouse combination, including targeting. (Except you only accounted for QWERTY layouts, so my AZERTY is once again powerless. :p I used the arrows! For your information, there is generally a way to program so that keys get associated to a physical location instead of their symbolic/literal value; you could look into this. ;))
  5. I could defeat all the enemies with a ‘black veil’, but not all the other ones (the rotating dice), which seemed to only very seldom get destroyed… ._.

I feel this is a great base for an action-packed game, but in its present state, it lacks a sense of purpose. As suggested by your description, I think time constraints made you cut essential parts, or oversimplify some aspects.

I’ll state again that I like the ambiance and style. That little brown-bearded looks like a modern-day Simon Belmont fighting back against Dicecula. X)

I hope your group turns this base into a more developed game! :)

Cool idea! Though, many of the gameplay elements don't seem to be entirely working. My dice and sword attacks didn't seem to affect the enemies.

Same for me

Weird, my sword does cut that black veil thingy behind the dice (and destroy them)!

PS: ah, playing yet another time, I did experience this bug, this time.
