How does your game fit the theme?
As a Detective, it's your job to find clues, link the evidence, and solve the murder. But you're no ordinary Detective, you're a corrupt one on the Mafia’s payroll. In this game that reverses the role of a seeker of justice, it's up to you to alter evidence and fabricate clues to shift the blame from the real murderer onto an innocent who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The game is really interesting, and I loved all the different options for framing. I also liked the aesthetic, it was reminiscent of early PC games. It’s unfortunate the ending doesn’t work, since I have no idea if I was on the right track, but I may come back to try again after the jam! Even once you fix it, though, I suggest adding more info than just “you failed”, since that can be frustrating when trying to solve a complex puzzle. I do think it was a bit text-heavy - perhaps some of the info in the file could be spread throughout the game world. In fact, there were a few rooms that seemed to be empty, so maybe those could help with that. Overall, very fun and interesting entry! I can see this as a full-length spin on a detective game.
This is a surprisingly great jam game, I'm just sad that I couldn't beat it! I saw your post about the possible broken win conditions, that's a real shame. I'd love to see this become a full game with multiple scenarios, an ongoing lore between them, possibly even going with a branching paths approach like the Zero Escape games so your implications could have unique repercussions, there's so much potential!
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, encouragement and ideas! We're delighted you enjoyed it, and trust us, we're sad you can't beat it to. We're working on fixing things right now and are definitely discussing the possibility of expanding upon this in the future. Thank you again for visiting our little corner of the jam!
Loved the art style for the documents, great experience overall! I was sometimes a little confused on where to go in the overworld. Really cool writing and a really interesting idea to play as a detective fabricating evidence!
Thank you for such a lovely comment with great feedback! We're fixing what we can to reupload as soon as we can, and will be looking at ways we can expand upon this concept. Thank you so much again!
very interesting game with very nice artstyle, maybe a bit too much read intense but really pleasant expirience, will try to beat it again tomorrow since i failed my first try
Thank you for the feedback and thank you for playing! Yeah we were looking for ways to hide more of the information about the suspects in other places than the dossiers, so there's less to read. Hopefully we can add that later on! We'd recommend holding off on trying to beat it until we can get an update out, because there may be a bug that's broken the win conditions.
