Very neat! Was pretty mindboggling trying to control these 2 ships and not hurt each other! I got to Wave 17 with 196800 score
This is really great! I was really impressed by how fun it was to control both at once, once I was able to get over the learning curve. It's a great mechanic that I would love to see expanded more (maybe some enemies can only be hit by one colour?)
Your presentation of everything was really nice too!
Ah, that would be a cool idea, I wish I had thought of it during the jam! Thank you for playing.
interesting idea, but it gets really hard to coordinate with the opposite ship especially when it fires on the opposite direction. most of the time i've just used the normal ship to shoot, so the opposite ship feels more like a liability if anything. then again, i'm probably just bad... i liked the idea of the link between them becoming a laser wall that can kill the enemies though. overall, it's an interesting idea that would need to be a lot more fleshed out though :)
This is a fun game, and it has nice artwork too! I wasn't able to get too far, but I think that because I was mostly focused on lining up shots in the center. Nice presentation on a good idea!
Cool idea! I liked that you use the shield mechanic as an incentive to switch up which ship you're focusing on, I would've make that more clear and given it a longer duration though; it's easy to miss that it's happening. Also, I liked the way the ships danced around each other with the inverted controls, but the inverted aiming on the second ship was a real pain - maybe there are other ways to challenge the player to use the second ship, like enemies you have to distract with one ship while you hit them from behind with the other?
Using the link to destroy enemies was also a really fun mechanic!
Oooh I like that distraction idea! Thanks for the feedback 😊
I had the idea for power ups that would also have the inverse effect on the other ship. Fire rate up becomes fire rate down etc to encourage swapping between ships, ran out of time though.
I liked it! Couldn't get too far though...
