I like the concept! I think it would be even more interesting if the missiles could also hurt the ship, giving it more of a risk factor. My biggest gripes were a lack of visual clarity (where are the rockets coming from/the explosions are a bit too big), and enemies being able to come at you from off screen, but otherwise you got a good foundation going. Keep it up!
