No idea how to play and had a hard time figuring things out. Maybe provide more indirect indicators for progress? eg. water visuals to show that the pump is working or blocked up, a progress bar showing the fire is being put out, or sounds of water rushing whenever you manage to connect a new pipe. Lack of visual indicators of the pipes means you could take advantage of other indicators.
