LF casual team for the jam but my requirements are strict:

  • Godot v4.4.1+
  • English (reading/writing, don't need to be able to speak it, but should understand written tasks/game ideas well)
  • Age 18+
  • 2D only
  • web support (Godot's compatibility mode)
  • use Git/GitHub
  • use some kanban board like Trello
  • AI usage allowed (+prefer commercial use allowed tools only)
  • Free assets allowed (+prefer commercial use allowed license like CC0 or attribution)
  • Properly track and credit any assets / tools used
  • Beginner friendly (+prefer easier project)
  • No commitments - no one is required or pressured to stay, just communicate it so others can take over tasks.
  • I personally won't be able to start working on it until around May 20th (I can work on it right away now)

I'm a beginner myself, and I prefer to code / avoid making art for now. You can check my previous attempts at jams on my profile (hopefully I'll have a few more before this one starts). For the workflow, I'd like to plan a game together, then simply assign roles/tasks and we each complete them at our leisure.

If any like-minded people are here after all that, I'm on the Discord "@pandadev." (yes with a dot .)

Update:

We have a full team now but haven't heard from our artist in a little while. If you're interested in possibly replacing them if we don't hear back, then let me know.

Hello,

I'm also using Godot 4.4 and possibly looking for a team. I am very new to game development and have significant skill gaps, a full time job, and not much time outside of weekends to work on games. For now, I'm still learning the basics, but I want to do a few jams to learn what I can. Anyway, let me know if you're still looking!

Sounds good 馃憤 it's currently just me and one other (both of us lean towards programming role-wise). No worries if you change your mind later or can only commit a few hours.

Sign up for Discord and add me "@pandadev.") or let me know your ID. We'll use it for a group chat to discuss ideas around when the jam starts (in text chat, so it can be read any time). In addition to that, if you could sign up for GitHub and download GitHub Desktop. (you may already be familiar with these things, I'm just writing it for everyone)

Hey bro,

Quite the same situation here,

I am fairly new to the game development scene, but i have a background in python so i have picked up godot with gdscript and have started learning about godot2d

and have a few test projects in godot.

And top it all of i can see working with those criterias, so do let me know if you have a spot on your team, would love to learn stuff together.
