I wasn't really sure what to do when I saw the thing flickering, the story kind of stopped for me, I couldn't move anymore, I was quite enjoying it until I got trapped. Some Music / sound effects would have rounded this off perfectly!
Do you mean the part after you enter the portal? That's a cut scene and you have to press enter to advance the narration. Sorry if it wasn't super clear what to do! I wanted to implement timed hints to help prevent the player from getting stuck, but I ran out of time. I'm hoping to do voice over narration for the full version, though, so that will eliminate that problem. Thanks for playing and sharing your feedback!
I think so, there was a circle, but I couldn't get near it, or away from it, I will give it another go, thanks for the hint :)
Timed hint or narration could be super useful, at least at the beginning or when you introduce something new. I totally get running out of time, we were all in that boat :D
Oh, the circle is a guide. It keeps moving away from you until you reach the portal. You just have to follow it. :) Sorry, that definitely could have been clearer! Thanks again for the feedback. :)
ah! I think the lack of the grid/background up there didn't make it clear I was actually moving, which is probably why I thought I was stuck. Really cool project, I am looking forward to seeing more from it.
Wow, this game is amazing!
I really was in the Flatrick's shoes. A simple story perfectly narrated!
Great design and narrative! I thought life in 2d would be hard, but I never considered life in 1d as well, that's gotta be a little rough. I really enjoyed playing!
