We've loved the style of the game, the mechanics were very funny, in particular the function of switching between the two colors! Really impressive, nice work! ;)
Didn't finish the game but got very close. Love the art style. The ambience noise helps build the tense atmosphere. The limited visibility also adds to that. And having firefly fly around and illuminate the area really help the player to plan ahead to some degree while still keeping the tension. The race to the doors after picking up matches is probably the highlight of this game.
Great game.
Simple and nice. I like it.
Cool game! If you do decide to continue working on it, some sound effects would spice it up!
Really fun to play. I got to 3:42 but I accidentally used the wrong colour and died :(
simple game and pretty fun. Just hope there is some music to accompany my playthrough. More SFX will make the game more enjoyable. The art is lovely. If you continue this post jam, maybe more variant model and puzzle will do. overall good job for finishing the game!
Very cool game. The mechanic is simple, but you knew how to put it to good use and make me feel pretty cool as I switched colors last minute or made narrow escapes while holding a match. The lighting not only creates a great vibe, but adds to the gameplay experience; sometimes those freaking veggies would pop up out of nowhere! And the art is very cute.
I notice that you list music as an existing asset, but I couldn't hear any? Wanted to take the chance to check in and figure whether it's a issue on my end or a bug or what, so it doesn't goof up my rating for you. I do hear the ambient noise, which is quite effective in aiding the vibe.
Overall, I dig it! Great work!
Thumbs up for your game! I've left a rating. Can you try my game and leave a rating too? Thanks!
I loved all the shadows, the field of view was really cool but I got cornered by angry carrots and pumpkins >:(
Locking your color to a match was a great idea giving some tense moments and ambience was done superbly in this game. I am not sure about the music though because i couldn't hear any and something simple would have totally completed the whole experience
This was such a cool example of using a simple mechanic to its fullest and really putting some thought into it. There were a lot of tense moments switching back and forth, and knowing once you pick up the match that you are locked into that color. The animations on all the veggies turning from calm and confused to angry and chasing the player was great. I think the thing that stood out the most though was the lighting. I really liked the shadows covering areas around corners that you couldn't see, and the bees were sometimes very helpful showing me enemies just out of sight. Overall very well done!
Thanks a lot for playing my game and enjoying those features.
