So... How does the scoring work?

I guess there is some kind of averging going on as submissions have gotten totally different numbers of rating. There is a line saying that:

Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

But if I look in the scoring tables the score and raw score are always the same?

So, can someone please explain to me how it all works?

If you got less ratings than the median ratings for all submitted games, your final rating is penalized. This keeps you from just rating 1 game a 5/5 in all categories and winning the jam.
