Ruslka is a special game.
Rotate action with players taking turn as a POC character descending to the shared pond haunted by the other players as their primary roles: drowned Slavic witch spirit ladies (the Rusalka). Card-driven action allows the table to drive the theme most appealing. Narrative takes place over long periods of time, yet has that fairy tale haziness to it. The crowning map component allows for a complex and invested sense of shared space, time and tragedt for the spirits and mortals alike.
This is probably the best game I played all year and almost certainly the best game played at GenCon. I would love to see Nick produce a full release, with gorgeous classical filigree folk art. People would pay good money for it. As they should.
You should play Rusalka. And maybe wait for that special big release and drop the real bucks for on this incredible piece of art.... ;p
