I really like what you're going for here. I think the range of universe alteration is a bit off in the sense that there's a 1-in-36 chance absolutely nothing happens when the player carefully arranges their ultimate damage combo, but a 2-in-36 chance two effects go off simultaneously (I really, really like including "Deja Vu" twice from a comedy perspective, though).

Honestly, the only effect I don't like in here has to be Nothing. I think that if you're gearing up for a spirit H-bomb to the point that you have to roll on a table for an ultra kill effect, it feels wrong that there's a possibility that "reality just rejects that" and nothing happens.

My favourite effect in here has to be either Fatality or Boiling War. I like any reason for the player to get extra WAR DICE, and I love the image of the world superpowers getting enraged by each other clearly overstepping, because nothing else on Earth is powerful enough to register on the doomsday tracking system.

What do you think about : "ALT-F4 : The cosmos has reached its limit with your actions: Initiate a universe reset, including a colossal big bang event, and so forth." instead of nothing ? The idea is similar, but the implications are worse !

I also thought about removing allusions to SCP and replace it by CYCLOP and a random table of anomalies in their vault.

If you mean implying that time is cyclical and everything comes right around back to the exact same point and the exact same sequence of actions, I love the universal and spiritual implications and would love to see it.

I also agree that switching to a dedicated in-doc collection of in-universe objects would be better. The SCP collection is huge, having it be a random one from their archives has a very skewed probability of it not being very good.

This just oozes fun, I just finished a replay of FFX and the Ultrakill system reminds me a lot of overkills in that game, fits very nicely with the feel of FIST :)

G.O.D has the perfect tables and inspiration for when the players are ripping a hole through the BBEG.

Filled with potentially world ending scenarios. A Perfect way to finish off a oneshot by cranking the threat up to 11.

GOD is a set of consequences for overtuning your DPS in FIST.

The PDF is 10 pages and perfectly mirrors FIST's art style. It's clean and easy to read while still feeling technical and stylish.

Contents-wise, most of GOD is a roll table with various consequences for hitting comically high damage numbers. Results from the table include permanently nullifying laws of physics, angering hostile outside entities, and punching holes in reality.

Honestly, if you wanted to play something like Undead Unluck with FIST, this would be the first bit of tech to add.

The writing throughout GOD is clever and creative, and while most of the consequences from the roll table are bad for the players, you could use them to safely add 1000+ damage weapons to your setting without having them be unbalanced.

Overall, GOD is a neat addition to FIST. It explores the hypothetical outer limits of the damage system while still keeping those limits tethered to the core game. You don't have to use it, but I do recommend picking it up.

Why you should check this out: a simple premise and cool consequences for massive damage

Style: an evocative cover, 2-column layout and minimalist table styling keeps this clean and feeling very FIST

Structure: this has a simple premise but is clearly laid out - a bit of flavour, when to use it and then a d66 table of consequences

Content: a concise but varied collection of, often meta, consequences. They are great inspiration for how to mess up a universe after a boss fight.

What might I change?

- Content: a few ‘p. XX’ still in there

- Structure: I wonder if moving the transcendent trait and time table to call-out boxes within the main table when they are first mentioned might help them connect better with the rest of the content

It is actually a good idea to put the TIME rule and the TRANSCENDENT trait in boxes along the random table. I will update the document (and correct the p.XX).

I also plan to make a bigger document with some additional rules for the game and several table in the same tone as this one.
