Jam Host (1 edit)

Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 7! My name's Hythrain and I'm one of the hosts and one of the streamers for this event! This feedback is being written live as I stream your game! If you're interested in seeing my live reaction, let me know and I can send you a link to the VOD once it's posted to YouTube!

So my normal approach for any game in these events is simple: I get the game, make sure it's not a virus, then play it with as little information on how to play as possible. This way, I can judge how intuitively someone can figure out the game. Only if it's obvious that I need to read more will I do so. I note this so you can get a sense where some of these feedback comes from. In addition, I want to note that feedback and rating are different; don't use this feedback to gauge what I'll rate, nor should you view my rating as entirely indicative of my feedback.

So this game is incredibly difficult. There are a number of things that contributes to this. I'll list the ones that stood out to me the most.

1. Lack of invincibility frames, resulting in getting hit multiple times very quickly.

2. Bad collision, resulting in the player's weapon hitting walls when it shouldn't be.

3. Punishing enemies that can move as fast as you for long distances or attack based on where you're going to be that also do high damage.

5. Inconsistent rules, where projectiles from monsters can go through walls the player can't.

6. No matter the source, projectiles should not last for such a long period of time in a fast moving game. It would make more sense if this was paced slower than it is.

I especially think it can improve if the first two are first at minimum, though I'd say these are all things that should be looked at.

Oh, and before I forget... remove reloading for the player. There's no purpose for it other than to be a jerk.
