A minor issue is that the beat blocks on the left don't appear for a second or two at the start of each game, so you can't control the piece for a bit. If the random garbage at the start is high up, you can't really do much to avoid it.

The game itself wasn't too difficult, and I feel like this counts as completing it:



The background and aesthetics were nice. I did feel like there could be a little more visual feedback when you get the timing right or miss. I also didn't really get the point of trance mode.

I think it would have been more fun with a more varied beat and some change-ups. You could even have different difficulties with different BPM. That's probably too much to ask for, considering it was for a game jam.

For the time frame, it's really well-made! Excellent work!

Also forgot to mention that it somewhat reminded me of some of these Tetris beat challenges. Good stuff
