I've finished the game now, and enjoyed the perspective switch! It does feel a bit janky though. Also the music is SOOO GOOD OMGGG

Developer

“Bit janky? Oh yes! XD Sadly, I haven’t had the time to make it completely smooth yet… but I hope it’ll get there sometime! Thanks for the compliment on the music! It won’t be the last piece written just for this game, and if everything goes to plan, it should be recorded by a live orchestra in the end (right now this seems really close to working out).”

Developer

Since there have been a few questions, I’ll explain the navigation properly:

The game starts as soon as you press any button.

Use the arrow keys to move: left and right arrows control movement, while the up and down arrows let you switch between layers in the central perspective (allowing you to move forward and backward). Press the space bar to jump.

At this stage of development, there isn’t much content yet, but you can follow the light to reach the end screen after two levels.

Be aware of which layer you are on. Some elements (like the teleport to the next level) are only reachable on a specific layer. You will also need to complete a small jump-and-run section on the right side of the first level. This can be a bit tricky because the way your character moves is quite unique—but that’s also part of the fun.

This mechanic will later be used to create more complex puzzles throughout the game.

I get stuck in the beginning, what am I supposed to do?

Developer

Try to follow the light. You can navigate using the arrow keys and the space bar. Also, listen to the music on the title screen—it’s fully custom and will be used throughout the whole game later on.
