  • In the game, you are a blob of dice (st)rolling somewhere in the dark. You encounter walls (which do not move), floor with various carpets (which you move on), and people (which do move and do not like you). You are exploring the dark world, lighting it by your presence and by dice you shoot. And... that's all. Sound is great, graphics fits the exploration theme. But the level design and overall gameplay... I must admit I did not finish the game. I was walking through the maze with lots of enraging obstacles, sometimes encountering key, sometimes encountering door. I knew there is a big elliptic room with final boss... but it was full of clutter and I did not find any boss there, any ending. I still don't know if I missed something, some key, some door, some corner... I really don't know what was my actual goal. What enraged me most, were the people that I was unable to kill... they were chasing me, even blocking me at the end of corridor... and unkillable. I tried throwing all dice at them... yet they were still going and chasing. I don't like this type of game with opponents I cannot do anything with, maybe someone else does, but I did not have a sense of achieving anything in the game. Overall I rate the game 3rd to 5th place in my list. Still playable, there is still something to it, I like the sounds and visuals, the exploration theme, but some design decisions made it a frustrating experience to me.
  • - Kostky utíkající z kasina na svobodu. Ano, to je povedené použití kostky. Čekal jsem kostku jako hlavního protagonistu, ale nečekal jsem - doslova - Legii kostek. - Libí se mi nečekané souvislosti. Postup "nás mnogo" kde nejde ani tak o výsledek, ale o to kolik kostek se obětuje pro naši věc. - Naprosto skvělé je i vše okolo hya - texty jsou tematické, v jednom duchu a skvěle zapadají do sebe. - stejně tak do sebe i ZAPADAJÍ všechny mechaniky - kostky + legie, legie + souvislosti, smysl + kostky... Klobouk dolu. - Pokud je někde mínus - pak je to konec. jdu, jdu... a bum konec. - Grafika je jednoduchá, ale hezká. Zvuky kostek jsou SKVĚLÉ - jak sbírání nových jednotek do legie, tak samotný pohyb je satysfying. - Slabinou jsou hlídači, jejich ai a interakce. - Naopak povedený je level design (byť má mouchy - třeba ty zatraceneé provazy) - člověka fakt baví to objevovat- -> rozdělte hru na víc levelů, přidejte dvě postupně odemykané mechaniky kostky, refitněte NPC, přihoďte dva bosse (třeba konkurenční karty a pak krupiéra)... a je to dokonalé. 614
  • Thanks for the game, you did a great job in this short timespan! The ingredients were used creatively and thoughtfully, so I'd say a great job. I really like the legion of cubes connected with the atypical use of cubes as this big blob of dice rolling through the casino meanwhile throwing their friends to see around them. Fun idea and the execution was also nice, the 3d top-down look works and makes it a pretty moody game. I'd probably improve one thing and that's the distance of "light" from the cubes. I'd imagine that when you throw the cube there will be a light around it when flying and then the end light area will be a little bit bigger. Also for me the casino sometime feels a little too big. Also I have a feeling the audio is weirdly mixed, the overall level is very low. But overall great job, creative and fun idea and I hope to see you on our next jam, thanks!
