Very well rounded game. Addictive, fun, challenging, frustrating! Gives me Super Meat Boy vibes, except... well, with orcs and rockets, so clearly superior. Super impressive for the limited time frame. Awesome job!

Hey! I really like the game... It looks simple but it is also challenging as heck but that's what makes it so fun!
The controls do take a lot of time to get used to,  feels inverted - for example, when I was trying to go left I needed to press the E key / right arrow key... but I get why it is that way, it also bumps up the challenge a lot.
Love the jokes after you die this and the UI, mesh and the whole design really give it the humorous unserious  vibes that fit the challenging gameplay and make you want to keep trying :)

Thanks for playing! I have a build that has checkpoints which is way easier to beat and a lot closer to the full vision. I'll put it up here soon!

Oh man it's difficult.

So after I had a run where I couldn't believe I have reached "this far", where I passed a section when you actually had to descend to ascend again, I gave up. But the flying mechanics are really tight.

The choice of music, the orc with jet pack and explosions are great! The connection to the theme is a bit vague though.

One thing I questioned is the choice not to allow to rotate while pressing 'W" along with 'A' and 'D'.
A checkpoint system and way markers (to at least let us know we're going the right way) would have been a blessing and helped us with motivation to finish the level.

Thanks for trying it! I agree, it's very difficult, especially with the keyboard controls. I've won maybe twice with the gamepad. I went back and forth on whether or not to allow spin while the thrusters are active, but I wanted to encourage the player to use the side thrusters which I don't think will happen very much if you can simply spin and use the main thruster at all times. But I really appreciate the feedback! I'll keep exploring the input mechanics until it's just right.

Unfortunately I didn't get to checkpoints, but I have it planned. AI enemies, stat keeping, and a mini map also got cut to make the deadline. So did the character who's supposed to provide the exposition, which would help clarify the connection to the theme. But I'll get them in there soon!

Thanks again for playing!!

Haha about the jet pack controls, you are totally right that's exactly what I wanted to do and avoid the side thrusters hehe. I did get the gist of it eventually though and got the farthest using the side thrusters.

even with the things you didn't manage to get in there, the game felt like a complete package so amazing work and a very unique idea.

This was very difficult. Definitely needs a checkpoint system and maybe a sensitivity for rotation option. Love the art and the level design though, even though it was so tough hahaha. The explosions definitely suit it.
I really do like the mechanics, it's a pretty good. Well done. Great submission.

Thanks for playing! Sadly checkpoints and a mini map were among the features that got cut to make the deadline. But I'm going to keep working on this so they'll be in there soon. Thanks for hosting this, it was a blast!
