You are but a humble scholar looking up some arcana at your local library. Unfortunately for you, it's a prison book - and your curiosity could mean the end of all life as we know it.
Oh, who am I kidding? Your fate and that of the world and the book's prisoner were set in stone when you started reading.
A deeply-clever interactive fiction story.
What a delightful little story! The writing was excellent and unnerving as hell, and I loved the themes of history and the rewriting thereof. Almost made me sympathize with the sorcerer, though I'm not sure if I was really supposed to. The music was also very fun, definitely going to check out the bandcamp.
I'm actually incredibly impressed that this was made in twine. That must have been very complicated to get working how you wanted. So bravo!
Only one minor nitpick, but more of a personal preference. I wish the text just started on the next line when a new word was being printed instead of jumping to it when there were too many letters, but I think that's a twine thing, so oh well.
Really excellent experience! Five stars from me!
