For a spooky, inspired mindset I've personally been listening to the soundtrack from Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency... It has a weird, creepy, chaotic vibe I can't quite explain... The full album is not out yet (and unfortunately may never be released) so all that exists is this 16min sampler. The rapid switching between the tracks can be a bit obnoxious, but I feel like it also adds to that chaotic vibe that inspires me so much...

Also there's something absolutely horrifying to me about this track from Annihilation. Perfect for conjuring images of strange creatures lurking in the dark!
