You are as successful as much you have luck. the rules are simple but the instructions are hard to follow. I think some illustrations or even colored excel cell grids screenshots would be really useful. There is not much strategy here, but I must admit I have only played it with myself, so I think playing with more people could make the game more chaotic and thus maybe more strategic?
