Just got done playing Trash Hunt and I loved it!  I  really liked the art and the sound effects made it a very soothing game.  However,  whenever I got too close to the wall and a trash bag came out I was a little annoyed because i didn't know it was going to be there.  Maybe a small warning  that shows up next to the wall that the trash bag is going to come out, then again that could be the kinda vibe of the game you's were going for.  But, overall amazing work!  Good job! >:D

Great Game!!!!!

The game feels very peaceful and relaxing to play and liked how it gradually got more challenging the deeper you went. I also thought the environment looks beautiful and love how the otter moves through the water and also when jumping in and out of the water at the beginning so it might be nice to add some horizontal sections or levels to the game.

Overall I thought it was a fun game to play and I enjoyed playing it, Great Work!

The art style in this game is very cute and loved the way the otter moves, very endearing! The game is well made, and it was very nice to see how far I could get before dying in the never-ending underwater cave – I got to 504m with 51 trash collected!

Further improvements

  • I love the way the otter feels to move so perhaps horizontal sections or free scrolling sections would be cool?
  • The game highlights how much trash is in the water but doesn’t really give any context behind why its there. So something that could explain/show that would be great.

Enjoyed playing this well done

Reading the previous reviews on just how calm and satisfying the game is and i have to agree! The style the movement animation all fits perfectly and plays super well.

When i started i wondered how i lost health and at that exact moment i got hit in the face by a TV! Great concept and super smooth game!

I'm a sucker for Otters so already this had a strong start!

The movement feels incredibly fluid and satisfying which is really impressive for a game jam so good job!

The art is also really well done and works well to create a nice calm atmosphere.

The can crushing sound has no right being that satisfying.

Overall, this game is fun and has a great atmosphere, you should be proud!
