Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • The controls feel really great.  The whole game has a really impressive level of polish to it, especially the camera movement. However, the level design feels like it could use more work, and the combat / swiping mechanic feel like they could use more fine tuning. It feels like it could be a really great game with a bit more work on the level design and swiping/combat.

  • Really impressed with the whole package for a weekend's work! Great art and sound, game played fairly smooth  and I liked the loot mechanics, however it could be floaty at times making jumps and timing harder than it felt like it should be.

Only issues would be in the combat - can't hit enemies that are too close to you - and I couldn't make it up to the last floor because the jump wasn't high enough, but another judge had no issue, so just a general bug.

I'd definitely recommend continuing work on this as a good portfolio piece, or continue for a small full release.

  • Very satisfying animations and sound effects - especially the treasure collecting. Having the player input to swipe the coins is a neat mechanic that could be built on. And having the treasure physics-enabled so that they scatter across the floor is also a nice touch. Super smooth camera follow was nice as well.
