A jam submission

Anime Girl at the Centennial DanceView project page

I've made a handful of pictures featuring this character. She's very lonely and doesn't really smile.

Hey, the dance is a really fun idea! It was a little somber for the music, but It’s cool that you’ve used an OC. Good job on highlighting the character by making the background characters  just figures, it even adds to how the girl probably feels. <3

Even though it doesn’t follow the prompt exactly, there’s something really charming about the sketchy style. It feels spontaneous and kind of cute in its own way 😊

Developer

Thanks! I did it by hand and I honestly forgot there was a theme. I need to pay better attention (lol).

Nice work, I think it'd benefit from having more contrast though. A lot of the background and shadows could be much darker to give some emphasis to the main character.

Meh, I did it on paper and scanned it in via printer, so I'm not too surprised.

The character's downcast eyes and the silhouetted characters in the background nicely establish the sombre tone of this piece. The perspective of the table could use some work though... the legs all look to be in the front.

Developer

Yeah, perspective with tables has never been my strong suit. I was kind of sloppy there though, even for me.
