How does the game fit the theme?
Update: the game doesn't have any functionality beyond being able to move. We are novices and weren't able to add meaningful gameplay by the deadline, so the game is effectively unplayable. We had fun working together and even though we failed to complete the project, it still provided us with valuable experience.
4 complete newbies joined their first ever game jam, soon was the great plan created, alongside the (quite impressive) Design Document. The idea was magnificent: to tell a story of a powerful creature whose power was too great to simply help the poor villagers, and someone even would call their help "harm". Nothing could go wrong... Now go check the game.
What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
code is original, some assets taken from Brackey's tutorials, and here https://toldoven.itch.io/godot-2d-prototype-asset-pack .

The music is very good, but I couldn't get past the first level :c
Hello! I liked the way the theme is implemented into your game. However, I would also like to know when you started the development, because, as I suppose, 7 days is fairly more than enough to make at least 2 locations as a team of 4 members. Yet, the game is nice; I'd like to see bigger projects made by you.
The initial discussion happened at the first day of the jam; but the heavy lifting only began 40-ish hours before the deadline - as shameful it is, we couldn’t get ourselves to work. This project didn’t live up to our expectations of our own possibilities, but, I suppose, it’s a valuable insight about procrastination for the members of the team (except the music artist, he was excellently on point).
Thank you for your feedback sincerely!
Great music! But I couldn't leave that starting hall, is there somethin I should do?
Not much, unfortunately. Except wait for when we finish any other location🥲
Thanks for the feedback! Our musician will be happy to read it!
