How does the game fit the theme?
You are mining coal at the northpole. But by selling and burning coal the ice under your city is melting. So everything is fine ..

Was able to mine ice and coal, not couldn't understand what else to do besides that. One thing I would improve for this is adding the name and a description for each building type, with the description saying what it does, what resources it gives per round/cycle.

How do I mine the ice? I clicked on the ice icons but nothing happened. I was able to build a harbor when I clicked around, btu then I ran out of ice and I couldn't mine any.

You have to build an ice-miner next to the ice icons. It's the same building you can see next to the ice icons on the screenshot of the game.
