This is a really cool concept right there! Amazing style and audio which really feels like a real tamagotchi. Well done!

This brings back memories. We used to fight over these when we were kids. The sound effects are so legit, and the graphics are perfect too! It really looks like what it was back in the day. The kitty is cute and adorable, and for some reason, what hit me the most is that you even took the time to implement that battery protector too, that was just the icing on the cake. And the user menu too! Lost for words, Hands down, well done! I would admit that I got jumpscared a bit when the machine glitches, especially when it happened during the ballgame minigame. I am not sure if there is an ending to the game, like the machine finally gave up and broke, but I spent more than 10 minutes trying to see if that happens.

For some strange reason, after I discovered you can use the keyboard to interact with the machine, it took away a bit of the fun. So rarely enough, I would suggest either adding a delay during which the player cannot press any button, or removing that feature entirely. For some super nitpick, I think that meal and snack icon may not be possible in a LED device like this, as that space should be occupied by normal pixels during the ballgame. I would suggest making both to be that crude pixel art as well. That also applies to the poop icon. Another nitpick I would suggest adding in a drop shadow for the LED elements as this is one of the distinct looks of these LED devices, adding in that would certainly make the game even more polished than it already is.

Anyway, thank you very much for the trip down memory lane, and I think you did an excellent job making this game! Well done!

I love it so muuuuch! Such great childhood memories—and the cat is adorable! But mine crashed while my Nekogochi was playing… what a bummer.
