Cool game style, easy controls, the only thing missing is the music effects

It's good that you made all the assets and code by yourself, that's not easy, nice work!

Have you tried changing controls a bit? I think they could be more tidy.  e.g. The jump and shoot buttons could be adjacent keys.

Could you try our game too? It's a 2d platformer, and it was our second game jam and one of our first games so far! Your feedback would be really appreciated! 

Interesting stuff. I do like how the map makes use of a recognizable structure and distinct landmarks to help build familiarity.

I don't know if I missed something, but it seems like there is no way to exit the mine once you have entered it. Also I encountered a couple bugs like bullets firing through rocks I was pressed up against and launch pads launch me far harder if I walk into them rather than jump onto them.
