How does your game fit the theme?
Players can dive forever into a well and there are some secret messages to dive into!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
The models were from scratch, the procedural generation was modified from my game Medusae, and the character controller was from the Unity FPS Microgame.

Good game! Excellent optimization and mechanics, convenient controls, graphics and musical effects are excellent.
You did so much with just a few components here! The camera effect when falling is really cool (disorienting, but totally appropriate for a short moody game like this); I love that you can see the jetpack trails, and the decision to have it recharge quickly on the ground but still charge slowly in midair is a really smart game design choice! I was really excited to get some of those answers when I first encountered the tree island, but I didn't run into anything afterward, even when I gave up on collecting lights (at about 30) and just tried to fall as far as quickly as possible, which was sort of a fun challenge in its own right. I'll second the desire for a clearer objective or goal but I love the vibes and got lost in the fall for longer than I expected!
Thanks for your message; glad you liked it overall! Yeah I definitely wished I could have put more secrets in, but I'm still relatively new to stories so I just managed to slap a two scripture verses in.
Really not sure when or if I'll get back to it but I was thinking of having it open up to outer space and / or having a ying yang with two trees. But it's all up in the air, so really anything could have gone! If you happen to think of cool stuff I could have put down there let me know, haha
Ooo, piece of light. Ooo, piece of light. Ooo, piece of light. Found this game oddly addicting. Would love to see it expanded upon some more.
Fun fact, the lights were added within 8 hours of the deadline! haha
Hey, great entry you have here! I enjoyed my playthrough and definitely wish there was more. I appreciate the controller support too. Gameplay is simple but to the point and well implemented. I guess my only criticism is just that I'd like to see more added to it, or a clear goal to victory. Had fun though!
I recorded a gameplay video of my playtest for some more in-depth feedback:
Thank you so much for making a video of your playthrough! And I'm sorry to say that the one tree was all I got to at the time. Truthfully story writing is not my strong suit, I'd be interested to hear what you thought might have been down there, but the theme just screamed PUT CRYPTIC STUFF IN IT. So I slapped in a few scripture references. Next time I'll at least find a way to write "Yeah so sry there's nothing more but like you can fall more if u want" but in an eloquent sounding way.
And I don't know about you but I felt like the platforms got too vertical after a while, so I tweaked the math to have a more even chance of horizontal and vertical platforms, and no underside platforms (Though props to you for getting one!)
this game is super fun. i like the premise of collecting lights to find the way . i think its cool that you have to judge the hight of a fall to think if you will survive.
i had an amazing time playing this game. i like the clutch jetpack right before you die. this is a game that makes you hold your breath as you fall hoping you don't die on a tiny brick.

You did a good job. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in the game, and the sounds fit and brought things together. One annoying thing was when the lights spawned outside the wall, so you could see the light coming from the wall and know there was one there but couldn't get to it as there is a wall. One thing I found funny was not going down the hole and jumping off the outside of the top so you could fall looking in from the outside. The controls were fine, and it was nice that I could look them up in the game, but it also looked like there were controls that were not in the game, making things confusing.
Overall, you did a good job making it, and at the start, it was fun jumping around to get the lights, but it got very repetitive, and with it not having any change in difficulty over time, the fun just slowly faded away. You need something that can keep you on your toes and not just repeating the same things. Grinding things in games by repeating the same thing can work, but not if that is the only thing. There needs to be something that can change that grand up every now and then so you feel engaged.
simple and the controls are fun to get a hold of, interesting idea behind the game too
Love this game. Theres something about it that keeps you playing. Theres so much mystery, and thrill!
