The game is not related to the theme. I wanted to see some cool gameplay instead of repeating "brick breaker" levels... I wasn't able to finish a game and I didn't see any enemies, maybe they were somewhere further in game, as well as other content.
That being said - this game is good as your first game, but bad as a game jam entry. I hope next time you'll make something more interesting!

Also be sure to rate my game too https://itch.io/jam/blackthornprod-game-jam-1/rate/319192

Hey thanks for the criticism! I still think the game is related to the theme though as, you are scripting the game from inside of it. Maybe it didnt come across as I wanted to, as the game is very unfinished, but you are supposed to be implementing different mechanics in the game, like jumping or dashing.

I will make sure to check out your game and rate it when I got time!

Soo the game is a bit too repetetive with the pong gameplay to get new abilities,it was fun at the beginning  but after the third pong game it really got tedious.Other than that the console typing is quite nice. The font for the console takes some getting used to though... The metroidvania gameplay outside of pong  mini game was fun.

Overall the game is nice, but with some more variety of mini games, and polish it could be VERY NICE.Looking forward to seeing the updates.

Thanks so much for the critic. I realized that the mini game was quite repetitive, so I intend to make more in the future, as well as make an actual level with actual sprites, music and effects. Also what did you think of the jump? and what about the dash?

So the jump was tight,it allowed a good amount of control. The dash didn't really feel like a dash,it felt  more like   a extra more powerful jump.Which is fine in my opinion.
