What kind of birds does your work include and what's their role?
You play as a kid in his tree house trying to take pictures of the birds in a jungle

This looks pretty polished, well done! I do like the retro palette and the sprites are very cute. Impressive work!

While I do like the visual effect of turning around, from a gameplay perspective, I think it would feel a lot better if you simplified the system so that a short press would interact and a long press would change the item.

Also, I wish there was a little more content in the game. Taking pictures of the birds feels pretty satisfying (though they seem to highly dislike it? :/), but also gets a bit repetitive pretty quicky. A couple of more items that actually influence gameplay might help, as well as maybe have a lose condition? I don't think this has to become a large-scale game, but I think it misses the "just one more try"-feeling that make short high-score based games like this so fun to play.

Thanks for the feedback, I am not going to update the game any time soon because of other projects, but I can tell you some ideas I had while making it. First, I wanted to add "the rain" which would work as a time limit and loose condition (take photos of birds before the rain scares them away), also I wanted to add different types of food (attract birds of different species), and flutes (attracts birds of different colors). Finally some interactions for the birds like singing to the rythm of the music. Here are some unused assets I have:

Hopefully I can update it on the future, just not now :)

Glad you liked it...
