Score of 196. Don't mind me people of earth just need to reload. Will shoot when I can.

It's a fun game and pretty satisfying. I think the difficulty curve could've stayed the way it is, but the player needs to scale along with it somehow. The way it's now, you can comfortably play for about a minute or two and then the enemies must mathematically overwhelm you. By the time it takes to reload, more enemies spawn than you can kill with the ammo you gained.

Thanks for your review. Nice you enjoyed playing my game. The game balance is indeed an weak point. You triggered me with mathematically, i think i can do a calculation to at least make it possible to stay in the game.

If you really wanna go BIG, give upgrades for reload speed but award them only for good play, like hitting multiple big drones with rockets consecutively :D

That was a fun take on a classic. I was not particularly good at it, but I did enjoy my time playing. Some music or extra ambiance would have been really cool to add, but the sound effects were great and the gameplay was solid. Nice job.

Developer

Thanks for your nice review. And yes, some music would give some nice ambiance.

It was the first time I created sound effect myself, so its great to hear you like them.

I like your earth

Developer

Thanks. It was one of my first pixel art creations.

I really like the idea of switching between weapons and having to go into 'reload mode', so you have to make a safe space to reload. It felt really good to line up rockets to destroy the bigger ships too, great game to relax with.

Thanks for your review. Nice to hear you enjoyed the game i created.

Not a bad submission! I think the resource management is neat however, I think the massive difficulty curve is rough. It from 0 to 60 real fast and I really couldn't defend very well almost immediately. Otherwise, the simplicity of the game is fun

Developer

Thanks for you reaction! Yes, it's totally true what you say about the difficulty curve. I should have put some more effort in it.

Also, I wonder what you mean by nice resource management. Of course it is nice to hear something is neat, but I can't really figuring out in what way you used the term resource management in this case. Hope you find time to answer it.

Thanks for your nice review.

I'm talking about how having to manage your ammo in between firing sessions. Having to give up attacking to watch the hordes of aliens get closer to invading then shooting relentlessly after reloading is a pretty intense feeling lol

Developer

Thank you very much for explaining. I had a tunnel vision on the technical aspect of creating a game. Didn't thought really about the reloading mode as resource management. Thanks again for the nice and helpful feedback.
