We are looking for a game that can be played from start to finish, that DOES NOT mean the game needs to be a complete game, but it does mean that it has the ability to start, progress, and end the game without needing to alt-F4. Having a main-menu, and exit game buttons are nice things to have so please take the time to implement them, they aren't required, all we ask is that you have a build of the game to submit but they are nice things.

Here are the 4 main things we will be judging from.

GAMEPLAY

Gameplay will be the primary criteria being judged. Does the game have good gameplay mechanically and creatively. It doesn't need to be something brand new or perfect but it should be solid.

PRESENTATION

This is the art, overall style, music, story, etc. This is not required but can be the deciding factor between two high quality games.

POTENTIAL

These games are being made in 48 hours, so obviously they aren't AAA, ready for sale games. So part of the score will be based on potential. How fun would the game be in a years time? Can it be scaled up if given time?

BUGS

The more bugs your game has the less points you get in the category, having a few  minor bugs is normal even for big budget games with large dev times. But if we can't open the game or it crashes, or we cannot progress due to bugs that will make you lose a lot of points in this category.
