I don't understand how many colors I can use. In the last jam, there was a rule about 2 colors, but the top spots had 3-5 colors.
Maybe black and white don't count?
There can only be two colours on screen at a time. I believe some of the winners last jam, updated their games after the jam to add more colours
Yeah, the last winner had updated significantly the game. Assume others did the same.
and if, for example, in a game, the colors instantly change from green and dark green to purple and dark magenta (on the entire screen)?
Will this be considered a violation of the rules?
If there are only two colours visible per frame, it's still allowed
