I never played a game like that before, so that was a new experience to me. I did not find the game hard. I played multiple times. I think you win by lasting 15 minutes, but there was one game where I leveled up before reaching 15 minutes, but I had no power ups to choose from, so I was just locked in the level up screen, and had to start over. I found the fans to be really strong. I think there were some other projectiles, but after not taking them, they stopped getting offered. I pretty much just played with fans, some nunchuks, lightning, and stat ups. If it wasn't for manually collecting hearts to gain new powers, the game would probably play itself, but with how powerful you get, you could probably last 15 minutes with much less powers.
Very very addicting. Good stuff. Music and enemy designs are great, the enemies in particular definitely seem like they'd be right at home in a doujin RPGmaker game
There should be a way to pause. Also, I'm not sure if HP regen works.
while it's normal for some menus to be missing in a prototype, I think that you should have volume settings and the ability to pause as soon as possible. the music is nice and fits the game well, and the title screen is amazing, but it also sets people's expectations for good backgrounds up, so take extra care with (re)drawing the battlefield. I also liked the powerup selection's flair and the enemy designs. personally I found the initial walk speed and heart collection radius too small.
on the technical side, I didn't encounter any bug or powerups interacting/behaving weirdly, but the performance declined noticeably with time and couldn't get to the 10min mark before the stutter got too bad.
as for the concept itself, I don't have much to say, this being a clone. if you added a twist to the genre I must've missed it.

Cute death music. It's not for me but I get the appeal. Probably a good game to make as your first.

Thanks for the feedback! There is a twist to the formula but its a spoiler :).
