  • Zachary has some nice in depth documentation to support his submission. It's great to see well thought out concepts, with different ideas tested and good use of brainstorming techniques.

The idea shows creativity and uniqueness and it was good to see detail on each asset and an explanation of how they were made, showing knowledge of common industry techniques.

The work shows Zachary has a good grasp of knowledge and techniques, which can be honed over time.

  • Its a good final formed enivronment,  I strongly suggest looking at substance paitner for texturing,  if you havent already.  and do some material studies and look at some resaerch for lighting for future.  film lighting is a good palce to check online.  Its helpful in this case due to missing some of the good quality work, by shadowing.  Its great these cases cause you can see where you are with your work, and what you need to improve on.  Keep it up, and use refernce, if your aiming for a visual style based on stylised games, check out stylised game screeenshots, etc.  It has some gorgeous assets in there and a unique scene.

  • Its great to see so much thought go into the initial designs and back story of a scene, and the scene holds true to these initial ideas.

You seem to have a good understanding of a lot of the elements that make up a production pipeline (concepting, grey box, baking etc), and this is good practice to follow in all your projects.

You expressed wanting to try a more realistic style and this can be hard when trying to portray a fictional scene as it is hard to reference each element of it exactly how you see it. I think moving forward you could take your pipeline knowledge and apply it to a single real world object and try to push that to be as visually close as you can. That way you have something to compare all elements against, (colour, material, scale).
